1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 cup broccoli florets

1 cup snap peas, trimmed

1 small carrot, julienned

4 cloves garlic, minced

1-inch piece fresh ginger, grated

2 green onions, chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

Sesame seeds, for garnish

Marinate the Beef: In a medium bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well to coat the beef evenly. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes.

    Prepare the Vegetables: While the beef is marinating, wash and cut the vegetables. Have them ready for quick cooking.

      Heat the Pan: In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

        Cook the Beef: Add the marinated beef to the skillet in a single layer. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned and just cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

          Stir-Fry the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant. Then, add red bell pepper, broccoli, snap peas, and carrot. Stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

            Combine Everything: Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the vegetables. Stir everything together, cooking for another 2-3 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and sprinkle chopped green onions on top.

              Serve: Remove from heat and transfer the stir-fry to a serving plate. Garnish with sesame seeds before serving. Enjoy hot with steamed rice or noodles.
