1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)

6 slices of bacon, chopped

1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated

1 cup whole milk

4 large eggs

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon paprika

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 cup green onions, chopped (optional)

Fresh herbs (like thyme or parsley) for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Prepare the crust: Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish. If you're using a homemade crust, roll it out to fit the dish. Press the crust into the dish and trim any excess. Prick the bottom with a fork to prevent bubbling.

      Cook the bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate, leaving the bacon fat in the skillet.

        Sauté green onions (optional): If you're using green onions, add them to the skillet with the bacon fat and sauté for 2-3 minutes until soft. Remove from heat.

          Prepare the filling: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder until well combined.

            Combine ingredients: Stir in the cooked bacon, sautéed green onions (if using), and grated cheddar cheese into the egg mixture.

              Assemble the quiche: Pour the bacon and cheese mixture into the prepared pie crust, spreading it evenly.

                Bake: Place the quiche in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is lightly browned.

                  Cool and serve: Remove the quiche from the oven and let it cool for about 5-10 minutes. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired, then slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
