Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon cumin

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Avocado Lime Sauce:

1 ripe avocado

Juice of 1 lime

1/4 cup Greek yogurt or sour cream

1 clove garlic, minced

Salt, to taste

Optional: chopped cilantro for garnish

For the Tacos:

8 small tortillas (corn or flour, based on preference)

1 cup shredded cabbage (red or green)

1/2 cup diced tomatoes

1/4 cup diced red onion

Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Shrimp:

    - In a medium bowl, combine the shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss until the shrimp are evenly coated. Let marinate for about 10 minutes.

      Make the Avocado Lime Sauce:

        - In a blender or food processor, combine the ripe avocado, lime juice, Greek yogurt (or sour cream), minced garlic, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning if needed. Set aside.

          Cook the Shrimp:

            - Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp and sauté for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are opaque and cooked through. Remove from heat.

              Warm the Tortillas:

                - In a separate skillet, warm the tortillas for about 20-30 seconds on each side, or until soft and pliable. You can also wrap them in aluminum foil and place them in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 5-10 minutes.

                  Assemble the Tacos:

                    - Place a few pieces of sautéed shrimp in the center of each tortilla. Top with shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, and red onion. Drizzle generously with the avocado lime sauce.

                      Serve:

                        - Serve the tacos with lime wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor. If desired, garnish with chopped cilantro for freshness.
