Ingredients

1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain

4 cups broccoli florets

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

2 teaspoons cornstarch

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon ginger, minced

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Cooked jasmine rice or noodles, for serving

Sesame seeds and sliced green onions, for garnish

Instructions

Marinate the Beef: In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced beef, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let it marinate for about 10 minutes while you prepare the other ingredients.

Prep the Broccoli: While the beef is marinating, bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the broccoli florets and blanch for 1-2 minutes until bright green and slightly tender. Drain and set aside.

Stir-Fry: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef in a single layer and let it sear for 1-2 minutes without moving, then stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until browned and cooked through.

Add Aromatics: Add the minced garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Combine with Broccoli: Toss in the blanched broccoli and pour in the remaining 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce. Stir-fry everything together for another 1-2 minutes until heated through.

Serve: Remove from heat and serve over cooked jasmine rice or noodles. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
