Instructions

Prepare the Pork:

    - Start by patting the pork shoulder dry with paper towels. Season all sides generously with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and cumin.

      - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.

        Slow Cook the Pork:

          - Transfer the seared pork to a slow cooker. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, BBQ sauce, and chicken broth.

            - Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for about 4 hours, until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.

              Make the Coleslaw:

                - While the pork is cooking, prepare the coleslaw. In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage and carrots.

                  - In a separate small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper.

                    - Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrots and toss until well combined. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

                      Shred the Pork:

                        - Once the pork is done cooking, remove it from the slow cooker and place it on a clean surface. Using two forks, shred the pork finely.

                          - Mix some of the cooking juices with the shredded pork to keep it moist and flavorful.

                            Assemble the Sliders:

                              - Slice the slider buns in half. On the bottom half of each bun, generously pile the BBQ pulled pork. Top with a spoonful of coleslaw and add pickles if desired. Place the top half of the bun on each slider.

                                Serve:

                                  - Arrange the sliders on a serving platter and enjoy them warm with extra BBQ sauce on the side!
