Ingredients

1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs

½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

½ cup powdered sugar

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

2 ripe bananas, sliced

1 cup crushed pineapple, drained

1 cup whipped cream or whipped topping

½ cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans work well)

½ cup chocolate sauce

½ cup maraschino cherries, for garnish

¼ cup shredded coconut (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the crust: In a medium bowl, mix together the graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of an 8x8-inch square baking dish to create a crust. Use a spatula or the back of a measuring cup to pack it firmly.

Layer the bananas: Begin layering by placing the sliced bananas evenly over the crust, covering the entire surface.

Add the pineapple: Spread the crushed pineapple on top of the banana layer, distributing it evenly.

Spread whipped cream: Gently spread the whipped cream or whipped topping over the pineapple layer, creating a nice thick frosted layer on top.

Top it off: Sprinkle the chopped nuts over the whipped cream layer, followed by drizzling the chocolate sauce evenly over the top.

Final touches: If desired, sprinkle shredded coconut on top for added texture, followed by placing maraschino cherries in the center or along the borders as a garnish.

Chill and set: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until fully set, allowing the flavors to meld and the bars to hold together.

Serving: Before serving, cut into squares or bars. Enjoy your delicious no-bake banana split bars chilled!
