Mini Chicken Buffalo Wonton Tacos

For the Chicken Filling:

1 lb (450g) ground chicken

1/2 cup buffalo sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1/4 cup cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/4 cup diced green onions

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

For the Wonton Tacos:

24 wonton wrappers

2 cups vegetable oil (for frying)

For Serving:

1 cup shredded lettuce

1/2 cup diced tomatoes

1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese

Extra buffalo sauce (for drizzling)

Optional: cilantro or parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

Prepare the Chicken Filling:

    - In a medium mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, buffalo sauce, cream cheese, shredded cheddar, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

      Cook the Chicken Filling:

        - In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chicken mixture for about 5-7 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked and no longer pink. Stir frequently and ensure it’s well heated and the cream cheese is melted. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

          Shape the Wonton Tacos:

            - Preheat oil in a deep pan or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).

              - While the oil is heating, take a wonton wrapper and place it in your hand. Add about 1 tablespoon of the chicken filling in the center.

                - Fold the wrapper in half to create a triangle, then pinch the edges to seal. Alternatively, you can shape them into a taco by using a small taco mold or just bending the triangle slightly.

                  Fry the Wonton Tacos:

                    - Once the oil is hot, carefully drop the wonton tacos into the oil (do not overcrowd). Fry for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

                      - Use a slotted spoon to remove them and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

                        Assemble the Tacos:

                          - Once the wonton tacos have cooled slightly, fill them with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and top with crumbled blue cheese.
