Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup cooked chicken, shredded (rotisserie chicken works great!)

1/2 cup BBQ sauce (your preferred variety)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/4 cup finely chopped green onions

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Chicken Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the shredded chicken, BBQ sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, and chopped green onions. Mix until the chicken is well-coated.

Roll Out Crescent Dough: Open the can of crescent roll dough and unroll it on a clean surface. Pinch the seams together to form a solid sheet, if necessary.

Cut the Dough: Use a pizza cutter or knife to cut the dough into equal-sized triangles. A standard triangle slice should be about 4 inches at the base.

Add the Filling: Place a tablespoon of the BBQ chicken mixture on the wider end of each triangle. Sprinkle a little shredded cheddar cheese on top of the chicken.

Roll Them Up: Starting from the wide end, carefully roll the triangle up towards the point, wrapping it around the filling. Pinch the ends to seal them securely.

Egg Wash: Arrange the crescent bites on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until they are golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.
