Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Cooked jasmine or basmati rice (for serving)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Shrimp: In a bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, minced ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using). Add the shrimp and toss to coat. Let it marinate for about 15-20 minutes.

Prepare the Rice: While the shrimp is marinating, cook your rice according to the package instructions. You can use a rice cooker or stovetop method. Start steaming the rice to ensure it’s ready by the time the shrimp is cooked.

Heat the Oil: In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

Cook the Shrimp: Add the marinated shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Make sure to pour in the remaining marinade halfway through cooking for added flavor.

Garnish and Serve: Once the shrimp are cooked, remove from heat. Serve over a bed of steamed rice, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy your dish warm!
