To create the perfect Frozen Yogurt Honey Oat Bites, start by preparing the base. In a large mixing bowl, combine your rolled oats, Greek yogurt, honey, and a pinch of salt. It’s crucial to mix these ingredients thoroughly to achieve a smooth, cohesive batter. Use a spatula or a wooden spoon to fold everything together. Make sure there are no dry clumps of oats and that the yogurt and honey are evenly distributed throughout the mixture. This not only ensures a consistent flavor in every bite but also helps the bites hold their shape once frozen.

Ingredients

2 cups rolled oats

1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)

1/4 cup honey (or maple syrup for a vegan option)

1/4 cup almond butter (or peanut butter)

1/2 cup mixed nuts or seeds (chopped)

1/2 cup dried fruits (cranberries, raisins, or apricots)

1 tsp vanilla extract

A pinch of salt

Optional toppings: toasted coconut flakes, mini chocolate chips, or extra chopped nuts

Instructions

Prepare the Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, Greek yogurt, honey, almond butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Use a spatula or spoon to mix until the ingredients are well combined and form a sticky mixture.

Add Mix-ins: Fold in the chopped mixed nuts or seeds and dried fruits until evenly distributed throughout the oat mixture. Feel free to customize with any other add-ins you love!

Shape the Bites: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of the mixture and roll them into bite-sized balls. Place them onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each one.

Freeze Them: Once all the mixture is shaped into bites, place the baking sheet in the freezer for about 1-2 hours, or until the bites are fully frozen.

Store the Bites: Once frozen, transfer the bites into an airtight container or freezer bag, separating layers with parchment paper if desired. You can store them in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Serve: When you’re ready to enjoy a healthy snack, simply take out as many frozen yogurt bites as you desire. Let them sit for a few minutes to soften slightly before eating for the best texture!
