Once you have poured your cinnamon-infused yogurt mixture into molds, the freezing process plays a crucial role in determining the final texture and flavor of your Cinnamon Dream Frozen Yogurt Coins. Ideally, you should allow the yogurt coins to freeze for at least 4 to 6 hours, but overnight is even better. The longer they freeze, the firmer and creamier they will become.

Ingredients

2 cups plain Greek yogurt (or your favorite non-dairy alternative)

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)

1/4 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans, optional)

Pinch of salt

Instructions

Prepare the Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, nutmeg (if using), and a pinch of salt. Mix well until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.

Add Extras: If you’re using mini chocolate chips or chopped nuts, fold them gently into the yogurt mixture until evenly distributed.

Spoon into Molds: Spoon the yogurt mixture into silicone molds or mini muffin tins, filling each compartment about 3/4 full. You can also use parchment paper-lined baking sheets if you don't have molds.

Create the Swirl Effect: To achieve a lovely swirl, use a toothpick or small skewer to gently swirl through the mixture, creating a marbled effect without overmixing.

Freeze: Place the molds or trays in the freezer and let them freeze for at least 4 hours or until completely solid.

Remove from Molds: Once frozen, remove the yogurt coins from the molds or trays by gently pulling them out or using a spatula to pry them loose. If using a baking sheet, you might want to let them sit at room temperature for about 5 minutes to soften slightly for easier removal.

Serve and Enjoy: Serve immediately as a refreshing treat or store them in a zip-lock bag or airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 months.
