Ingredients

3 ripe bananas

1 cup smooth peanut butter

1 cup chocolate chips (milk or dark, your choice)

1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)

1 cup crushed peanuts (unsalted)

Sea salt, for sprinkling

Popsicle sticks (or wooden skewers)

Instructions

Prepare the Bananas: Peel the bananas and cut them in half. Insert a popsicle stick into the cut end of each banana half, ensuring it's secure.

Peanut Butter Coating: In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the peanut butter for about 20-30 seconds until it’s slightly warm and more liquid. Stir well to smooth it out. Dip each banana half into the peanut butter, ensuring they are evenly coated.

Freeze the Bananas: Place the peanut butter-coated bananas on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze them for about 1 hour, or until the peanut butter has hardened.

Chocolaty Coating: In another microwave-safe bowl, blend chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Heat in intervals of 20 seconds, stirring between, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.

Crush the Peanuts: While the chocolate melts, place the crushed peanuts on a plate or shallow dish.

Final Assembly: Once the bananas are thoroughly frozen, dip each banana half into the melted chocolate, allowing excess chocolate to drip off. Quickly roll the chocolate-coated banana in the crushed peanuts, coating all sides.

Add Sea Salt (Optional): For an extra gourmet touch, sprinkle a little sea salt on top of the chocolate before it sets.

Freeze Again: Return the finished banana pops to the parchment-lined baking sheet and place them back in the freezer for at least another hour or until the chocolate is completely hardened.

Serve and Enjoy: Once set, enjoy your delightful and healthy treats straight from the freezer! Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer.
