Instructions

Prepare the Baking Pans: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour three 8-inch round cake pans.

Make the Vanilla Layer: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add vanilla. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients alternately with milk until smooth. Divide the batter into one of the prepared pans.

Make the Chocolate Layer: In a similar fashion, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt together. Cream the butter and sugar, then beat in the eggs and vanilla. Mix in the dry ingredients and milk until just combined. Pour into the second prepared pan.

Make the Strawberry Layer: Whisk together cake flour, baking powder, and salt. Cream the butter with sugar, then add eggs and vanilla. Fold in the strawberry puree. Mix the dry ingredients with the wet until smooth. Pour into the third prepared pan.

Bake: Place all three pans in the preheated oven. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Prepare the Frosting: In a large bowl, beat softened butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla, beating until light and fluffy.

Assemble the Cake: Once the layers are completely cool, place the vanilla layer on a cake stand. Spread a layer of frosting on top, then add the chocolate layer and repeat the frosting process. Top with the strawberry layer and frost the entire cake.

Decorate: Use fresh strawberries and a sprinkle of cocoa powder to decorate the top of the cake. You can also pipe additional frosting onto the edges for a more decorative look.

Serve: Slice the cake into pieces and serve! Enjoy the delightful combination of flavors in every bite.
