Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

1 bunch fresh asparagus (trimmed)

3 tablespoons honey

4 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium recommended)

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon ginger, grated (optional)

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 teaspoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

Fresh lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large sheet pan with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, and grated ginger (if using).

Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets on one side of the sheet pan. Brush them generously with the honey garlic marinade and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Let them marinate for about 10 minutes while you prepare the asparagus.

Prepare Asparagus: On the other side of the sheet pan, arrange the trimmed asparagus. Drizzle with a little olive oil and season with salt, pepper, and a splash of the remaining marinade (if desired).

Bake: Place the sheet pan in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, and the asparagus is tender but still crisp. For an optional crispy finish, you can broil for an extra 1-2 minutes.

Serve: Once done, remove the sheet pan from the oven. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the salmon and asparagus for added crunch. Serve with fresh lemon wedges on the side for a burst of brightness.
