Ingredients

2 lbs chicken wings

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon onion powder

¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

½ cup unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Fresh lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. This will help the wings get extra crispy.

Prepare the Chicken Wings: Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. This step is crucial for achieving crispy skin.

Season the Wings: In a large bowl, mix the baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the mixture.

Arrange the Wings: Place the wings on the wire rack in a single layer, ensuring they are not touching. This allows the hot air to circulate evenly around each wing.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until the wings are golden brown and crispy. Flip them halfway through for even cooking.

Prepare Butter and Garlic Sauce: While the wings are baking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

Coat the Wings: Once the wings are done, remove them from the oven and immediately toss them in the garlic butter sauce until well coated.

Add the Parmesan: Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the coated wings and toss again until they are fully covered.

Final Bake (optional): If you want the cheese to melt slightly and get extra crispy, return the wings to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes.

Serve: Remove the wings from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately with lemon wedges for squeezing over the top.
