1 pound chicken breast, cut into strips

1 cup buttermilk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Vegetable oil, for frying

For the Honey Mustard Dip:

½ cup mayonnaise

¼ cup honey

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Salt and pepper to taste

Marinate the Chicken: In a large bowl, combine the buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken strips to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for best results).

    Prepare Breading Station: In a shallow dish, place the flour. In another shallow dish, mix the panko breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese. Set aside.

      Bread the Chicken: Remove the marinated chicken strips from the buttermilk (allow excess to drip off) and dredge them first in the flour, shaking off the excess, then dip into the panko mixture, pressing lightly to ensure the breadcrumbs adhere well.

        Heat the Oil: In a large skillet or frying pan, add enough vegetable oil to cover the bottom (about ½ inch deep). Heat over medium-high heat until hot (about 350°F/175°C).
