Ingredients

12 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced

Salt and pepper, to taste

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Tortellini: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the tortellini and cook according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced chicken and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is golden and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Prepare the Alfredo Sauce: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer, then reduce the heat to low.

Mix in the Cheese: Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is creamy. Stir in the Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes (if using). Allow the sauce to simmer for a few more minutes, thickening slightly.

Combine Everything: Add the cooked tortellini and sautéed chicken into the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss gently to coat all the ingredients evenly in the creamy sauce.

Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve hot with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
