Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup diced green chilies (canned or fresh)

1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon cumin

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Cooking spray or olive oil (for greasing)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet with cooking spray or olive oil.

Prepare Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, diced green chilies, cilantro (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

Roll Out Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles along the perforations.

Fill the Dough: Place about 1-2 tablespoons of the cheese and green chili filling at the wide end of each triangle. Carefully fold the dough over the filling and roll it up towards the point, forming a sealed bomb. Make sure the filling is entirely enclosed.

Brush with Egg: Place the filled bombs on the prepared baking sheet and brush each one with the beaten egg to give them a nice golden color while baking.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese bombs are puffed and golden brown.

Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve warm as an appetizer or snack, optionally with a side of salsa or guacamole for dipping.
