1 cup water

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon sugar

4 large eggs

2 medium apples (such as Granny Smith), peeled, cored, and diced

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup heavy whipping cream

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For Garnish:

Powdered sugar (for dusting)

A sprinkle of cinnamon

Instructions
 

Make the Cream Puff Pastry:

    - Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

      - In a saucepan, combine water and butter and bring to a boil over medium heat.

        - Add flour, salt, and sugar all at once, and stir vigorously until the mixture forms a ball and pulls away from the sides of the pan.

          - Remove from heat and let it cool for about 5 minutes.

            - Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until the mixture is smooth and glossy.

              - Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a large round tip. Pipe small mounds (about 1.5 inches in diameter) onto the prepared baking sheet, spaced at least an inch apart.

                - Bake for 20-25 minutes or until puffs are golden brown and firm.

                  - Once done, remove from the oven and let cool completely on a wire rack.

                    Prepare the Apple Cinnamon Filling:

                      - In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add diced apples and sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
